11-year-old Charlie and four-month-old Maverick are best of friends.

The pair love to do everything together, but they share an even deeper bond. Maverick helps his blind friend navigate his way through their day.

Their parents, Chelsea and Adam Stipe of Mooresville, North Carolina, told ABC News that Charlie had lost his sight after being diagnosed with glaucoma.

This New Year’s day, the Stipes brought home Maverick. Maverick helps Charlie find his toys and even guides Charlie using a leash.

The Stipes told ABC that both dogs are thriving and doing what dogs do. Charlie even seems to be acting like a much younger dog thanks to his new friend.
