WATCH: Nurse Sings Amazing Grace to Elderly Patient

NASHVILLE — The latest viral video is shining a light on the brighter side of healthcare.

Olivia Kilburn of Lawrenceburg, Tennessee first shared the video on her Facebook page. Her grandmother, 71 year old Patsy Tate, was in the hospital for heart irregularities. Most families would be anxious about the situation and understandably so.

Fortunately, Ms. Tate and her family were blessed with what Olivia described as “the BEST nurse tech.”

The video shows nurse technician Mikea Braden singing the famous hymn “Amazing Grace”. Her face is full of emotion and compassion as she tries to calm and comfort her patient.

Ms. Braden’s singing is so touching that you might miss the family’s reaction. Ms. Tate sits on her hospital bed in the foreground along with another elderly loved one off to the side of the shot. The gesture is so touching that both look on the verge of tears. What a beautiful moment!
