SACRAMENTO, Calif. — A young driver in California couldn’t help but smile after he walked away from terrifying collision with a semi-truck.
The Sacramento Fire Department posted on Twitter that the driver struck the side of a semi-truck and was pulled underneath the trailer.
The driver did come out on the other side, but his car no longer had a roof.
In the image posted on Twitter, the driver is seen beside his roofless car. He’s smiling from ear to ear, giving a thumbs-up.
“We advised this lucky driver to go buy some lottery tickets,” the Sacramento Fire Twitter account says.
Reports indicate that the driver was headed south on Interstate 5 near Arena Boulevard in Sacramento when he collided with the semi. Officials are still unsure what led to the crash.
