WATCH: Iowa Police Save Three Children Jumping from Burning Building

DES MOINES — Footage has emerged of four officers leaping into action to save three children as they jumped from their burning apartment building.

Local media is reporting that officers, Cole Johnson, Craig Vasquez, Tyler Kelley and Casey Sanders, caught the children they leaped to safety from a third story window.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation. Fortunately, all residents of the building were able to evacuation without any serious injuries.

The police department thanked the officers in a post on Facebook: “Please join us in thanking these officers, and those who serve with them, for leaving their homes every day to help make Des Moines the safe and secure city that it is!”
